Historically Belgium is complex from a cultural, political and regulations perspective. In general, the people are tolerant and reserved. The more South, the more a message will be passed indirectly. Even in a small town, not often seeing tourists, you will be welcome, as long as you stay respectfull.
Along the frontline
West-Flanders is scarred by two Wold Wars. This should forever be remembered, for it never, ever or anywhere, to happen again. Visit WW I remnants and follow the trail of the WW II allied forces from Omaha beach, along many important places, all the way to where the trains stopped. Fully prepared from Omaha beach till the Ardennes in Belgium. Work in progress to follow the trail till Auschwitz-Birkenau.
